- Selada Ketimun dan Bawang (Pickled Cucumber and Onion Salad)

- 1 medium cucumber sliced
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 cup cold water
- 1/4 tsp pepper

- Mix together and chill before serving.

- Mom says that she has modified this basic recipe to make it more to her
- taste by using a medium to large cucumber, a small onion, 1/2 tsp salt, 1
- Tbsp sugar, 4 to 5 Tbsp vinegar, 1/2 cup water, and "a sprinkling" of
- pepper. She says to adjust depending on the strength of the vinegar, what
- balance of sweet and sour you like, etc. Also, she adds thinly sliced
- carrots and small cauliflower florets when she has them. Have fun!
